Kamaishi City, on the southern coast of Iwate Prefecture, is known as the “City of Steel, Fish and Rugby. This 3-day/2-night tour combines other activities you can do in Kamaishi while enjoying the Michinoku Sea Breeze Trail.
Day 1: Visit Miraikan to listen to a storyteller → Free time for fishing, EV, etc.
Day 2: Explore the Michinoku Shiokaze Trail in 3 patterns: on foot, by electric bicycle, and by Sanriku Railway.
Day 3: Tour the fishing grounds on a local fisherman's boat.
You will stay at “Horaikan”, which has a great location right in front of the beach, and “Ohakozaki-no-yado”, where fresh seafood dishes and interaction with the local landlady are the main attractions. At Ohakozaki-no-Yado, you can enjoy a new Kamaishi specialty: Uni-shabu nabe, a seafood dish served in a local sea urchin soup.
